In this exclusive video for PokerPlayer.co.uk James Akenhead talks to us about his debut appearance on the hit US TV poker show Poker After Dark.Akenhead was out in Vegas preparing for the WSOP Main Event final table when he got a call from series producer Mori Eskandani asking if he would like to appear on the show. As a huge fan of PAD Akenhead would usually have jumped at the chance but he was adamant that he wasn't going to play any more poker in the run-up to the biggest final table of his life - plus, the $20000 buy-in would make it the biggest tournament he had ever played.After a little cajoling from his friends Akenhead eventually said yes and took his place in an all-star lineup including Erick Lindgren, Antonio Esfandiari and Mike Matusow for an episode entitled 'Lonesome Sharks'. Akenhead now talks exclusively to PokerPlayer.co.uk about the experience of playing on PAD, reveals how Lindgren managed to loosen up the table and also says why he wouldn't play on the show again - despite winning it and taking down $120000.James Akenhead is the cover star of the February issue of PokerPlayer magazine, the UK's biggest-selling poker magazine.
